Eligibility for EDG Grant
The Enterprise Development Grant (EDG) provides financial support to Singapore-registered companies looking to upgrade their business, innovate or venture overseas.
To be eligible for the EDG grant, companies must meet the following criteria:
- Be registered and operating in Singapore
- Have a minimum of 30% local shareholding
- Be in a financially viable position to start and complete the project
- Intend to continue operations in Singapore after the proposed project is complete
Project should achieve one or more of the following objectives:
- Introduce new technology or knowledge to improve business processes
- Develop proprietary Intellectual Property and expertise
- Build business networks and partnerships
- Acquire capabilities to improve access to markets
- Strengthen core business functions
- Expand overseas markets and internationalization
The grant provides up to 70% funding support for qualifying project costs such as equipment, software, consultancy, training, and intellectual property rights. Companies can receive up to S$30 million in grant support per firm.
NTUC Company Training Committee (CTC) Grant For HR Software & HR Capabilities
The NTUC Company Training Committee (CTC) Grant aims to support companies in upskilling and upgrading their workforce. It provides funding support for companies to send their employees for training courses and skills upgrading.
NTUC Company Training Grant aims to help companies build capabilities and tap on technology to improve productivity. Supporting employee in an organization with skills upgrading and reskilling to help employees stay relevant to the market. Encouraging employers to take ownership of their employees’ skills development to stay relevant.
The grant covers up to 90% of course fees and training allowances for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents, capped at $15 per hour. Employers can tap on the grant to send their employees for a wide range of training courses in areas like information technology, technical skills, soft skills, and more.
By defraying training costs, the CTC grant enables companies to invest in human capital development. It is administered by NTUC’s e2i (Employment and Employability Institute). Companies can apply for the grant through e2i’s website.
Eligibility for CTC Grant
The NTUC Company Training Committee (CTC) grant aims to encourage employers to continue investing in training and skills upgrading for their employees. To be eligible for the CTC grant, companies must meet the following criteria:
- Be registered or incorporated in Singapore
- Have a minimum of 10% local shareholding
- Be a member of the Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF)
- Commit to co-funding the training program applied for
CTC grant has specific eligibility conditions for the employees nominated for training:
- Be Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents
- Be full-time employees on the company’s payroll
- Have at least 2 years of working experience prior to course commencement
The CTC grant covers a wide range of training courses including IT, technical and soft skills. The grant amount can cover up to 90% of direct training costs subject to a cap. Companies should review the eligibility criteria carefully before applying for the CTC grant.
